Nyhavn is a 17th century canal district in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Built by Swedish prisoners from the Danish-Swedish War in 1658 it is lined by 17th and 18th century bars, cafes and restaurants. During this time it was notorious as a Sailor’s drinking and entertainment district.
